From GI Joes to a Life-Changing Mission.

My journey in lawn care began at five years old, working alongside my father at the original Dulin Cut & Trim. Back then, my \"salary\" for a hard day’s work was a trip to Kiddie City for a new GI Joe action figure. While the business closed in 2003 when I chose a different path after high school, life has a funny way of bringing you back to your roots.

A Career of Care

In 2009, I married my wife, and shortly after, I graduated from Bowie State University with a degree in Pedology (Child & Adolescent Studies). I spent six years in the foster care system working with the most challenging cases in our area—a job I loved deeply, but one that was high-stress, emotionally demanding, and often kept me away from home for days at a time.

The Turning Point

Our lives changed in 2012 when our oldest son was born with several severe, life-threatening special needs. Between emergency hospital stays and life-flight heartaches, the pressure of my career in foster care became unsustainable. I needed to be more than just a provider; I needed to be a present father and a partner to my wife in the hardest fight of our lives.

In February 2016, I decided to put the skills I learned in the foster care system into caring for my own family. I left my career and relaunched Dulin Cut & Trim. I didn’t just start a business; I reclaimed my life so I could be the husband and father my family deserved.

Where We Are Today

Today, our family has grown with the addition of our youngest son in 2021. Because of the success of this business and the loyalty of my clients, my wife is able to stay home, ensuring our children—especially our oldest—always have the care they need.

When you see me on your property, know that I am bringing the same level of dedication I used in the foster care system and the same attention to detail I learned as a kid working for my dad. I feel an immense sense of gratitude toward every one of my customers. You aren't just a name on a schedule—you are the reason I am able to be there for my family.
